Hi !

Yes, friends like mine are precious. - I so hope you will meet

some kind people like these. I've come accross shallow people

to, believe me. It is often people who haven't been through much

hardship in life, so they are unable emphatize and think of others

than themselves.

I tend to get attached to people who also struggle sometimes and it

becomes a give and take relationship - where we keep each other's

spirit up in difficult days and be happy for each other in good days.

Best wishes,

Nina

Hi Amy!

Yes, it's so lovely to talk to other CMT'ers and I would love to get

to know you. If you find my English a bit funny, it's because I'm

Norwegian. I've been living in England for 12 years, married to a

lovely Englishman. My e-mail address is:

nina@...

Best wishes,

Nina

Amy,

I agree. It is so hard having no one to talk to who can relate. Online is

helpful but it would be nice to have some other people you can actually see with

the same problems and to be able to go to places with someone who knows how much

it takes to just walk anywhere, let alone run, for example.

what city or state you are in,I am in Hamilton Ont,Canada,I would

also like to meet people with CMT because they can relate to your

pain, because no one else seems to,if there's any one from

Hamilton, please drop me a line and say hello.

Roxanne,

Sure, now you contact me!*) I just moved away from Buffalo, NY, where I'm

originally from. I now live in NC. But am hoping to find someone else in the

Greensboro area who has this problem with their feet and legs. I'm saying it

plainly because I'm at the library and if anyone reads this I want them to

understand. Good luck and take care.

Dawn,

Perhaps you might consider starting a support group for CMT in your area. The

CMT association in Chester, PA. sent out brochures/announcements for us when we

started ours.

I know many people feel support groups for CMT are not helpful, but as you

mention just being with people who understand your problems and concerns is very

comforting.

Our group is relatively small, but almost every meeting, even if we don't have a

speaker, we learn something new.

Why not give it a try?

P.

P.S. I don't post often myself, but do read the posts.
