Guest guest
Wow, Fiona, I've never had it that bad. I guess everytime I feel sorry for myself I can look around at others and realize it's not so bad. My leaden feeling is really vague, comes on so gradually I don't notice a difference except it just seems like SUCH an effort to cross a parking lot, or walk across sand to get to the water. Some days I just feel like laying around like a slug and then feel guilty about it, but when I get up to do something productive feel likes it's such an effort. I felt it much more when pregnant, which of course I blamed on being pregnant. Good luck, if you get any help there medically, please post it so I can piggyback on it! Guest guest
Holli, You mentioned something about having a leadening feeling while you were pregnant. I can understand that to some point. While pregnant with my daughter, I felt very strong, much stronger in fact than before I got pregnant. Then about my 7th or 8th month BAM! out of nowhere my energy was gone. I had to use both hands to feed myself, even plastic silverware seemed too heavy. I hardly had the strength to hold myself up, that's how little strength I had. I kind of figured my CMT had something to do with it but there was nothing the doctors could do about it. About 6-8 months after delivery, I suddenly got all my strength back almost as if nothing had ever happened. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Guest guest
I felt that too when I was pregnant and since my symptoms seem worse. I think that is because of the weight and the CMT. The combination is immobilizing at times or at least it seemse to be but I just keep going and going and going. I'm afraid if I stop I will not be able to move ever again so I too get days where I feel like being a slug and then feel guilty for it. So, we have to just keep going don't we? Good to hear from someone else with similar situations.
Guest guest
The sluggish days always get me down. As often as they happen to me I should remember that a few down days always bring a few days of feeling great right after.
