Guest guest
I took my daughter in many many many times before we found something to help her asthma. She had a chronic asthma cough and she kept dislocating a rib because of it. I was really worried about her. My neurologist checked her out and said what happens on the inside happens on the outside. If you have atrophy on the inside you will also show atrophy on the outside. He assured me that her asthma was in no way related to CMT. He put my mind to rest anyway. Guest guest
Gretchen, I was wondering if you had any links on CMT affecting the heart. My son had type 1A and has difficulty breathing we have been going to a pulmonologist at Penn State Hershey for about 8 months. He put Ethan on asthma med which didn't help, he sent us to a cardiologist who didn't help. I out right asked if it was related to CMT and he doesn't seem to know. He has runs of tachacardia (SP) rapid heart rate, his feet turn blue sometimes and his lung function is below normal. They did an x ray which showed the diaphram higher on one side but he said it was because of where the liver is located. I have had trouble finding any information online. I have read Crabtree's info but that is all I could find. Thanks
