Guest guest
Hi All; I think I've opened Pandora's borrelia box for myself. Under the advice of my kids' DAN doc I started some self-treatment for lyme (very unpopular but very effective Mesosilver -- not a cheap colloid that turns you into a Smurf -- Docs been using this effectively for some time). Very low and slow but I'm still herxing. I'm having joint swelling where I haven't in years, but the vertigo/neurological symptoms increasing is intolerable. A couple of days ago the room was jumping, not just spinning. Feeling a bit better but I'm still having trouble functioning with the dizziness -- I can handle the swelling and aches but the nausea has got to go away so I can look after my kids. It's been a week since I discontinued treatment, and the herx symptoms are supposed to subside. So are the symptoms I'm still experiencing the resurfacing of dormant spirochetes -- now they are active and reeking havoc within my body, or is it die-off from killing them off. Confused... I have to wait another week until I talk to my DAN doc. Besides charcoal, what can be used to mop up toxins? I've heard people talk of burbur... Also, does anyone know of a Lyme literate doc in Ontario (Toronto) or know of a info source to direct me to a Canadian doc? Had an appointment with a rheumatologist yesterday and he dismissed all the info I gave him re lyme and my corresponding symptoms. He didn't want to hear any of it... just told me I have fibromyalgia and inflammatory arthritis. He said my GP ran a blood test (the regular antibody screen) and it was negative, so I don't have lyme. He has no clue... AARRGH! Thanks for listening once again, Kim
Guest guest
Hi Kim, I am in the middle of a horrible herx from lyme and parasites. Burbur has been life altering for me. I carry it everywhere. I have tried many things, but this is the best for me. I also use glutathione powder from Jomar labs. A quarter to a half of a teaspoon really helps when I am feeling bad. I carry that around with me too. My purse is like a survival kit for unexpected herxing :-D . Drinking a ton is very helpful. I use electrolytes too. I have to do homeopathic drainage as well to help process the toxins. I do a castor oil pack every day over my liver and spleen. I am lazy so I figured out that an infrared lamp penetrates much better than a heating pad. If I just smear on the oil(directly on to my liver area) and heat with the infrared, I get better results with less of an effort. I then go directly into an epsom salt bath. Benadryl can help if you have nothing else, but I would put burbur up against anything. I just went through three weeks of nausea and diarrhea. I have s so I have to be really careful of huge herxs and dehydration. These things helped a lot. Hang in there. Peggy
Guest guest
Hi Peggy, Where are you ordering your burbur? I was going to order samento and cumanda, too. Is burbur to help with detox reactions and the other two for anti-bacterial? Thanks! Sharon ---------------------\\ Herxing or active bugs? Guest guest
Does a herx pass but the lyme or bartonella or babesia continue and jsut get worse or do they flare and then go back.. thus truly making it hard to tell which end is up? I was knocked out for about two weeks and still coming back. Had taken zith for a week for lung infection (?) and even a week.. two weeks after I stopped, I was a mess. Breathign problems, adrenaline surges, severe fatigue. Now I am better... and controlling the CNS which somehow brings my adrenaline down has helped. This with a drug, clonezepam, which is recommended for folks with dysautomia which according to Cheney (dys and CFS expert) can play a vital role in bringing down neuro-excitability. With my dys, I can have flares of this.. but NOTHING like I just had. It was extreme. Like my spinal cord was invaded with neuro firing and my adrnealine was non stop.. in a bad shaky way.. not a good energetic way. Herx or flare? Guest guest
Hi Sal, I have dysautonomia too and it can be really hard to tell if you are herxing or croaking:-). I have found that the dysautonomia makes me more sensitive to any treatment since my body has a hard time regulating on a good day. I have tried a few things that have worked so I thought I would pass them along to you: 1)Magnesium levels are crucial to dysautonomia. If I am low my symptoms flare. I take a combo of different types. Play areound for the best fit for you. 2)Benfotiamine has been a miracle for me. I researched it on several forums and found that it helps with neuropathy as well as other dysautonomia symptoms. It takes a few weeks to kick in, but it is very effective. I take 150mg twice a day. You may be able to get by on a half of that. I herb carries doctor's best for a really good price. 3) Guafenisen has helped some people too. It is based on the chronic fatigue model. I have a friend who runs a fibro website and she explained that the reason that guai works is because we have low blood volume and that our lymph is really thick and sticky. The guai thins out your lymph. Anything that physically thins it out will help with your wellbeing. If you kill bugs, but can't process you will just get sicker. I have found that supporting my detox pathways are just as important if not more so than killing the bugs. My healthiest times have been when I am constantly doing liver packs or saunas or detxo baths. The second I stop all heck breaks loose. The other thing to look at is if you are gettting relief from alkalizing(ie lemon in water, alka seltzer gold, benadryl, charcoal), the odds are it is a herx. If you continue to slide after you have tried this, the odds are you are having a flare. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I will contact you off list and let you know how to get it locally. Burbur is for detox and the other two are for kiling bugs. Burbur helps to smooth out a detox reaction. It is really effective. I grabbed it the other week when nothing was helping me. It worked like a charm. I couldn't believe it. I travel with it everywhere now. I will email you shortly. Peggy > > Hi Peggy, > > Where are you ordering your burbur? Guest guest
Sal: Get a good die-off plan. Have it include liver clensers, nerve- protectors/anti-inflammatory herbs, good digestive aids, etc. I think getting the liver working good should be a main focus. I am just starting down this road now and trying out different products. But, I think we can avoid herxing if we get a good enough plan for die-off going.
