Guest guest
I just picked up my carbon fiber AFOs model EZ Stride original custom by Spinal Solutions in Conyers Georgia. I was fitted by Tom Cutler in Visalia, Ca. at Sequoia Prostetics and Orthotics. I have the lateral type since the upright on the inside of my foot killed me. My foot is falling over and the upright hit right on a bone. Ouch! My are very light and does allow ankle movement so I can drive with them. Tom molded an arch support and soft covering on them. So far so good. It feels better to stand. This was a problem before. I feel more stable now. It is easier to walk down steps. I can also walk down sidewalks that decline better. I was going to get a cane to use when we walk down steps but I don't think I need it now. I also bought new walking shoes. They are New Balance 926. They are made for people who have neuropathy. They are made to help keep your balance in the middle of your foot. Very comfortable but a little pricey $104. I figure if they will help it's worth it. Both have.
