Guest guest
I respect these articles of interest and do not take them so personally. This is my experience: I have a tag, I use it when a space is available. Once in awhile, someone asks me " what " I am disabled for. I gently reply " CMT " , and I will explain in another sentenance, if asked, that it is a neuromuscular syndrome affecting weak leg muscles. The tag is issues to me, for my car, and I carry the attached paperwork with me, just as I carry my car insurance. A positive suggestion for those who are having problems with this issue: If you need a tag, get one, use it, do not let vigilantes or anyone intrude on your personal space or rights. Yes, there is 'abuse' of these tags/placards, but if you legitimally have obtained one for your use, do not be afraid to use it, and do not feel you must answer to any questioning bystander. Hold your head up high, and walk in the store. If a member of law enforcement asks for your DL, ID, tag paper, etc., cooperate and present the documents. Gretchen, again, thank you for all you do and the informative articles posted. does mean alot to me, for many reasons. Bev
