To qualify for SSDI benefits, you must be found *disabled* according

to the rules of the SSA. If you 'retired' because of the inability to

do your job any longer due to disability, you may be able to apply.

But that's 4 years now since you retired, and the first question will

be " why did you want so long to apply for SSDI " ? Contact your local

SSA office by phone, make an appointment, also go online to the SSA website for

information about SSDI

and retirement http://www.ssa.gov/
