Guest guest
Not many people in my life have hurt me or been so rude, but there have been a few I've had to " push out the door " with a FIRM goodbye- never want to see you again. I've lived in many places throughout the US and traveled widely. The rudest people I encountered were in Wyoming (might have something to do with bad, cold weather alot) The most friendliest, accepting people I have met (outside of my 12 step program) have been the Native Fijians. With them, each aspect of life is authentic and there is a true eye-meets-eye manner among each, from child to adult. At one point of my life I considered moving to a Fijian Village I had been invited to for 6 months (Visa req) I still stay in touch, I still have that 'move' in my mind. My 12 step program has really helped me through the years to stand strong, be honest, and know my boundaries. Writing in my journal helps free up any negative emotion too. (Periodically my journals are burned - it becomes symbol for letting go of it all) There are always going to be rude, demandingm, hurtful people in life. Take the 'high road' and rise above this. ~ Gretchen
