Guest guest
Hello ers, Excuse my ignorance, but I'm here to learn too. For those of you that use power wheelchairs and scooters, do you need to get insurance for them, I mean sort of like car insurance, or is this something that you just have a rider on through your homeowner's insurance? It just hit me after seeing my friend this past weekend, and hearing some of your stories, what would happen if your wheelchair or scooter was suddenly out of commission, or stolen, or severely damaged or something else? My friend would be stuck in her bed, or have to use a manual wheelchair and have her caregiver push her. Seems to me that these expensive adaptive pieces of equipment that give so much freedom must be insured, but how is this done? Thanks for the feedback. ~ Gretchen
