I just wanted to let you know that the OCD and sensory issues are classic BArtonella symptoms. My child is not autistic. But she does have processsing, ADD type symptoms, and mood and sleeping issues we have been working on with her LLND. She also has had bartonella her whole life (as have I and her sisters). I came from the lyme list here to lurk and learn as ADD has so much in common with autism causes and treatments. The knowledge everyone has is mind blowing. A lot is over my head (and I consider myself pretty savvy). I was wondering if anyone here has tried MMS for their child? My daughter has been on MMS and silver for a long time now and done really well on it. But I have not seen it mentioned on this list so far.

Hi Kim,

I started her at 3 drops of MMS 1x/day and we worked up to 7 drops. She just turned 10. I believe she may have been reinfected several weeks ago as something happened with her ankle and she was on crutches for a week not able to move it. But there was no specific injury she could relate. At this time she also developed some low grade fevers on and off (a big warning sign). Since this incident she has only been able to tolerate 4 drops orally of MMS. I called her doctor and she agreed it sounded like a reinfection and to up her silver. I dosed her for 2 days all day and she herxed badly. We are now experimenting with transdermal MMS. I am worried about possible stomach irritation in taking MMS for so long. (We started a year ago) I mix the activated MMS with DMSO cream and rub on her. I can dose her higher as it bypasses the digestive system and she doesn't complain as much.

As for the silver, I started her on that when I first figured out she had lyme (about 1 1/2 years ago). Many things for her improved right away: sleep, phobias, knees. I have used many silvers but now we buy 600 ppm from Kornax.Com. She gets 3 tablespoons a day. We did go to ART practitioner and she tested well for the MMS and for the silver. Their silver is angstrom, not colloidal.

She has 3 infections, borrleia, babesia, and bartonella. The first 2 we think she got from my husband just last year. So while many of her bartonella symptoms had improved she had others to tackle. So in terms of herxes there is a wide range of symptoms she may exhibit from being extremely emotional at times, knee pain, extreme fatigue, flushing, sleeping issues, etc. Her babesia symptoms seem to have improved the most. Generally everything is better for her with occasional bouts of flares.

I know this is not what many you would accept as treatment for your child, but after going through this with my oldest 8 years ago, we found the silver to have made the biggest difference (back then we made it and there was no MMS). She had been on antbx. For a year with minimal improvement until we added the silver. For us the silver is a mandatory part of our lyme treatment.

Can u explain what u mean by this:

"She has 3 infections, borrleia, babesia, and bartonella. The first 2 we think she got from my husband just last year."

I thought lyme was transmitted only by bug bites, sex and thru placenta.

Just need to find out if I should add it to the list of things I need to worry about.

Well, I did too til she suddenly developed symptoms of of infections she had never had. My husband had been diagnosed the year before with borrelia and babesia. He gave me them to me. My daughter is a very huggy kissy child. She always insisted on kissing us on the mouth (till recently). Lyme has been found in saliva, so it is possible. Not very common I imagine, but possible. There is so little they know about transmission and so many families end up infected even though some of the family members were never bit. The doctors see this all the time I am told. So I am just assuming that is how she got the other 2 infections.

Hi and All:

I have MMS on my counter for close to a yr now..I originally bought it to treat my child but was afraid so I have dabbled with it. I am reading in you post , "I mix the activated MMS with DMSO cream and rub on her." You can use this as a rub? Does she take it internally? How do you use this as a rub?
