Guest guest
Pooh, It is standard practice for an attorney to say no fees unless the case is won in Social Security Disability cases. The Administrative Law Judge will make the decision, based on all the information she/he receives about your case and whether or not you meet the definition of disability by the SSA. There may also be a Vocational Expert at your hearing as well. I hope your attorney is experienced in Social Security Disability law. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Gretchen, What is a Vocational Expert? Yes my attorney is experienced in Social Security Disability Law. But thanks for the heads up. Pooh
Guest guest
A Vocational Expert clarifies the policy in determining whether a claimant can perform his or her past relevant work, i.e., whether the claimant retains the residual functional capacity (RFC) to perform the physical and mental demands of the kind of work he or she has done in the past, or can do other work not necessarily the kind of work one was trained in. The VE looks at previous work history, job training, education, earning capacity, physical limitations, etc. More at this link http://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/cfr20/416/416-0960.htm ~ Gretchen
