Carol,

That is the problem. She pretty much gets by on junk. She does have a

weight problem, not severe but some, and doesn't know what to do. She has

pretty much given up. Next time I see our doctor I'm going to ask him if I

can take her to see some kind of specialist since we have health insurance

again. Thank you all for your replies. I wondered myself sometimes if she was

fooling but this last time her throat even swelled after eating some carrot.

Thank you so much Lillian. This is so interesting as the last time she ate a

carrot she washed it in Fitt thinking it might help. She complained in about

5 minutes of her throat feeling like it was swelling shut. We had her drink

some Colloidal Silver hoping that would help. I don't know if it did but she

did get through it. Please order that book for me if you can. I did a search

for it at that site and they said it couldn't be found. Thank you again.

Pam,

I would change doctors but first ask him if he has any children and how would he feel if his child was choking and the throat going numb. My throat goes numb also from allergies.

A air filtration unit is on my list of things to make my life a little easier.

take care

This sounds like an anaphylactic shock reaction which is an extreme type

of allergy reaction. My ex-husband had this kind of a reaction to

kiwi and he felt like his throat was swelling shut. It is a dangerous

kind of reaction. The anaphylactic shock (a severe and sometimes

fatal allergic response) is rare--less than 5% of the U.S. population exhibits

responses such as rash or anaphylactic shock which are indications of food

allergies. First a person is intolerant to a food and has no apparent

immediate reaction when the food is eaten. Instead the body reacts

more quietly, but each exposure leads to less tolerance until at some point

the body reaches a breaking point-- the last straw so to speak. -

This information is taken from page 6 of the book, Your Hidden Food

Allergies Are Making You Fat, by Rudy , MD and D. Deutsch.

Inspite of its title, this book would be a good reference for you as

it explains how the intestines can be involved in food intolerances and

eventual food allergies. We could order it for you or you may be

able to obtain it at the Prima Publishing website: www.primahealth.com

It was copyrighted in 1998.

My daughter can't eat vegetables at all and many

fruits or her tongue and

bathroom. We

assume this is an allergy too. No one seems to have heard of this

before. Our

doctor just laughs at her about it.
