I wanted to add that I don't know what breed might have been talking about, but this breed came to mind from Sally's inquiry. I have found my common breed hens to be good foragers, too, though. Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, various Rocks, Leghorns, etc.. Egyptian Fayoumis are great foragers, but they're also the most obnoxious chickens I've ever known.
