For a peanut butter version, I go heavy on crispy peanuts, skip the carob powder & figs (use only dates, crispy nuts, oil or butter & maybe a little salt if your crispy nuts aren't real salty). For a plain chocolate chip version I skip the carob powder, add a lot of shredded coconut & raisins & some ground sprouted rye or pastry wheat.
