Guest guest
Tami, High taurine is typically associated with hyperactivity, anxiousness, and sleep difficulties. High glycine is associated with low mood, stress-related symptoms, and again, anxiousness. Taurine and glycine are both inhibitory neurotransmitters that promote calmness and relax the body. The reason that their levels are high could be that the body identifies imbalance of excitatory neurotransmitters or exitortoxins and tries to produce high levels of inhibitories to calm the nerve systems. Glutamine, glutamate, histamine, and norepinephrine are all excitatory neurotransmitters. Limin From: Tamiduncan@... Has anyone done the NeuroScience neurotransmitter testing? We just got our labs back and of course I can never wait for the doctor consult. It had some interesting things I didn't expect, but there is always that chance that I am not interpreting properly since this is the first time I've seen this test.Seratonin, dopamine, gaba - NORMAL (that seems weird to me, I didn't expect that)Taurine and glycine - super highglutamine, glutamate, tyramine, histamine and norepinephrine - slightly highEverything else in rangeAny thoughts?Tami Listen to 350+ music, sports, & news radio stations – including songs for the holidays – FREE while you browse. Guest guest
yes have had the test. low seratonin, slightly high dopa. High gaba. High epinephrine. I am wondering if it is measuring how much you pee out, if it can be an accurate measure of that your body/brain is acutually able to use? If you are peeing out high levels f a neurotransmitor, does that truly mean you are high as far as saturation in the brain (or whereever it goes) or that you are actully not able to utilize it properly?
