Thanks so much to everyone for writing about their similar experiences and how they handled them. I know that I am one of those people that high emotions can trigger a symptom flare for me. I think this had been building up for awhile. My said to me a few weeks ago that he thought my gallbladder pain was caused by his friends mom. (the pain started the day after her and I had the discussion about her not touring the middle schools with me as we had planned for 2 years)

I talk in my presentations about stress being a trigger..that includes our emotional stress. I've seen and talked to some doctors who use "recall healing" in their practices. The concept is to: Name it, Claim it and Dump it. These are emotions and experiences which may be hindering our physical improvement and possibly the improvement of our kids. It's a hard pill to swallow. But I've realized that it is very true. I've pinpointed some things that I have experienced and done in my life which account for my TIGHT GRIP on my son. Looking back, even before the diagnosis, I was way more protective of him than other moms. I may not have let him experience things the way he should have. I'm trying to be better about that. Did that cause him to have autism..NO. But I could have done a few things differently I think.

Writing that little - whatever it was last night, was a bit healing for me, but I think more of a vent. If anyone of you are on the Thriiive community, she has a group that is just for venting. Sometimes we just have to do it.

This group is SUCH A HUGE BLESSING. Thank you for being there for me and for each other. We have several new folks on the group, I hope they can see the positive environment they have just joined.

I know. Halloween was bad. Not only did my son not know it was halloween, but no one even saw him in his costume. I don't know why I bought it. He is too little to go trick or treating, we have no friends and he did not enjoy it. We moved to NY earlier this year for EI services and when I called my Mother in Law (in the next town) yesterday to see if she wanted me to bring my son over so that she could see him in his halloween costume, she was too busy doing things with her other grandchildren and when I wanted to come she needed to go out to the supermarket. She did not even ask what he was dressed as.
