Guest guest
I don't have the full recipe in front of me for the formula, but it contains liver if I remember correctly. Liver is an *extremely* rich source of iron. There may be other sources in the recipe too, but liver is probably the principal one... I have been researching what goes into the formula in NT. I already have my daughter on it because I was forced to (she was losing weight). I've been trying to find what provides the iron in the formula. (it may be simple, but forgive me, I'm new to this) The reason I ask is because most of the commercial brand are iron fortified / added iron. So, is that pretty much the case with NT's? Thanks for the help! I just thought someone might know off the top of their head- Jess

Guest guest
No, cod liver oil only supplies Vitamins A and D, DHA and EPA. Isn't there grated raw liver as part of the formula, or am I having a mental lapse? -----Original Message----- From: spunkie25ga [mailto:Spunkie25@...] Sent: Friday, February 01, 2002 2:43 PM Subject: Re: Researching Formula So, the cod liver oil would supply it then?!?! > I don't have the full recipe in front of me for the formula, but it contains > liver if I remember correctly. It has: milk, whey, bifodobacterium infantis, cream, cod liver oil, sunflower oil, e.v. olive oil, coconut oil, brewer's yeast, gelatin, water, and acerola tablets (and of course... all the nonhomogenized and unrefined where it pertains) Any thoughts? Sorry. I was definitely confusing the two formula recipes. Brewers Yeast will provide some iron, but this looks to me like a relatively low-iron formula. Hopefully Sally will comment on this if she gets a chance. Minneapolis
