Guest guest
Caryn, thank you SO much- I have to tell you, life has been beyond difficult. We have doors slamming, things being thrown at us etc... I've been doing the chlorella, but I will add in the charcoal- I haven't done it as much due to the timing. Does it have to be 2 hours after food? I don't want to take away any of their nutrients since they are so thin! It was odd because the first week or two on antibiotics, our one son had what I would call "perfect" behavior- almost too much!! Then after two weeks, when we added in the mepron- all the oppositional behavior and disrespect was back. I will look into the other things you mentioned. Is there a test to show ammonia levels or should I just assume this is what it is? Do I have to manage ammonia levels after the 1-2 month point or as well (ongoing?) Thanks Caryn- how's your son doing??? who would want a > valkion?> > > > > > > > > > > > Ok..I know we all want a valkion. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Speaking of Yasko products, has anyone used their Advanced Language Formula for verbal communication. It is quite expensive, $85.00. I am not doing the yasko protocol but am looking for something to help my son's language. He is 12 years old and it is very difficult to understand him and he only has minimal functional language. I have already done antibiotics for lyme, valtrex/diflucan, probiotics, digestive ensymes, samento, burber, tumeric, resvertrol, cod liver oil, B12 nasal spray, B12 sublingual. It seems everything I try has not helped him at all. Of course GFCF diet also. PS His stimming OCD behavior has also increased. who would want a >> > > valkion? >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > Ok..I know we all want a valkion. Guest guest
, Yasko mentioned Advanced Language Formula at Autism One conference this year. She said that she would not recommend this RNA product, until the child's viral load and metal load are reduced. Guest guest
Huh. This reminds me of my dd alcohol breath.. like rubbing alcohol.. very strange.. when she was a baby. Anyone heard of that and know what might cause it.. is that similar to what you are talking about, Peggy? Thank you for the recommendations. Guest guest
You have very interesting observation, Peggy. I think that yeast also produces acetyladehyde during the process of fermentation. Acetyladehyde can bind to the sites of certain proteins to inhibiting their function. Could you elaborate how L-methionine help to detoxify acetyladehyde? Is there anything else that can mop up this? I recall at " chelatingkids2 " that one of the product made by Thorne was mentioned for detoxifying acetyladehyde, but I cannot remember which product. When Ingvar got an Asyra screening early this month, Acetyladehyde was picked up by the machine, among other things. I am trying to manage the relationship between Ingvar's body and yeasts. One of the problems I see is that if you kill off yeasts too fast, your body suddenly get overloaded with yeast die-off toxins such as acetyladehyde. If the liver can not cope with the sudden increased toxic load and fails to excrete the toxins soon enough, your perpetual toxic-state terrain will tend to attract more Candida. Calcium and magnesium can help to neutralize the acidic toxins. Guest guest
we gave activated charcoal and hour after yeast fighters to absorb the die off. We kept yeast under control to chelate successfully. One of our children did get an ulcer from too many proteolytic enzymes but she was on huge doses of multiple enzymes and also naproxen for arthritis at the time. Guest guest
You need to balance their use. Too much lysine will inhibit arginine. Muscle test to determine use perhaps? Guest guest
Jernigan says: High-protein foods, such as grains and meat, contain an amino-acid (the breakdown unit of protein) called L-arginine. L-arginine in foods and as a nutritional supplement should not be taken in the presence of ammonia. Research reveals that ammonia + arginine + manganese = increased nitric oxide (NO), up to 53% in astrocytes (brain cells), leading to increased brain swelling. When you increase localized brain swelling, the symptoms increase dramatically, and the perception of fatigue can escalate to critical. Armed with this knowledge, health care professionals would be wise to instigate a protein-poor diet for Lyme patients during treatment to minimize aggravations from arginine. Another way in which diet can be used to combat the effects of arginine is to eat foods high in the amino-acid L-Lysine, such as legumes, or one can easily purchase L-Lysine as a nutritional supplement from a health food store. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0ISW/is_285/ai_n19170382/pg_5 So Lysine the ill or the cure???? Guest guest
Thanks Caryn, I always try to have goat cheese or something when I give them the antibiotics- hope this is enough when you say fatty. Funny, our doctor never mentioned that. I did find out from the doctor yesterday that one of my boys has high ammonia so you were right on with that. We're soooo looking forward to treating that! still has some very odd moments (hard to describe, he's had them for the last year or so) but does some crazy things. I hope it's related to his infections and not something else. Sounds like you're not having any yeast problems with all of the antibiotics? Are you doing anything extra for his immune system/liver? Guest guest
Hi Darci, Both Dr and Dr Schaller said mepron must be given with fat for proper absorption. My son does not have yeast b/c we keep him on diflucan and/or nystatin -- otherwise he would be a mess. For his liver, we primarily use milk thistle, but I just ordered a whole bunch of goodies that I am not sure of yet. Oh, and charcoal at bedtime -- must be given away from antibiotics. The high ammonia is a problem that pops up over and over again each time we add something new to treat pathogens. At least we are getting die- off. ) Caryn > > > > > > > > Hi Tami, you can add me to the list too- thank you! I'm hoping > > > someone > > > > out there can help me. Guest guest
Hi Darci, so glad something is helping! maybe this has been discussed on this thread already, but have you tried green clay? Some people on reversingautism are seeing lessening of digestive issues with bitter orange also. I posted a link the other day on Japanese combo of zinc+carnitine, that may also be worth trying as shown in lots of cases to ‘patch-up’ leaky gut. Jarrow sells this formula, it is called Pepzin Gi. Metagenix also does it, but theirs has some nasty additives in those caps. A similar combination of carnitine and zinc has been used for asd for quite a while, but that is NOT the same as this Japanese patent, don’t go for that one... natasa x Natasa, thank you so much for your help with the charcoal- I'm starting to give more of it and it does help! who would want a > > valkion? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Ok..I know we all want a valkion. Guest guest
How interesting, I have the Pepzin GI from Jarrow- I'm already giving zinc and carnatine- I wonder if I have to stop taking those if I take the Pepzin as wouldn't I be giving too much zinc and carnatine?
