Sorry to hear that you're having sizing problems too. I will be calling on

Monday to see when we can get in. We're so happy that Jess is finally in her

helmet and I want to keep the momentum going by having a good fit and not

worrying about if the helmet is in the correct position!

Thanks for the info about Waterbabies sunscreen. We also have a 3 year old

so I'm sure we'll be outside a lot and looking for creative ways to keep Jess

cool/sunburn free so she doesn't miss out on her first summer.

Thanks again, Robyn (MI)

She is doing pretty well(very few protests) but we're stuggling

with

getting a good fit as it seems to keep slipping down too far on

her

forehead and even seems to slip a little sideways as well.

We are

not scheduled for our first 'check' for another week and a half,

but

I'm going to call and see if we can get in sooner. Did anyone

else

have problems initially with a good fit for their helmet/band?

Yes! Yes! We've had a really difficult time with our son 's DOC

band. It took a lot of adjusting to get the first band to fit. He's now

on the second band and we're having problems all over again. It slips down

over one eye and twists slightly, bumping/covering his ears. We're supposed

to go back to have it checked 5 days after this recent fitting, but in

the interim we're keeping him in the old band. I think it all depends on

how "unique" your bambino's individual noggin is! I have been very

"asssertive" (in a nice way of course) about getting a fit that we all

can live with. Having to adjust his band every time he moves is not acceptable.

If you're concerned, don't worry about bothering your orthotist. It's his/her

job to make sure that everything works for you and your child.

Also, our helmet is open at the top. I'm

curious if anyone has any

inventive ideas for preventing sunburn. I would think that

applying

sunscreen would cause skin irritations since her head will be so

warm

already with the helmet.

We've been using Waterbabies sunscreen and so far, so good. It doesn't

seem to irritate his scalp, but it also doesn't wash out very easily. It's

also sticky and doesn't seem to slide down into his eyes. Plus, 45 SPF!!

Woo Woo!

Good luck to and happy Easter!

Shari

Kendra,

I'm interested in your brochure too, but I can't download zip files for some

reason. What are the " Files " ? I've heard them mentioned many times before,

but don't have the slightest idea where they are.

Thanks!

Hi !

Go to the onelist

site, then click on files (it's on the left hand side). I listed

it under "hand-out".

Hope the link works!!

Kendra,

I went under 'files' and couldn't find anything that said handout. Am I

looking in the right place?

:

You're probably looking in the right place. It's all alphabetical,

until it gets to "T". Then it starts again at "B". Go down,

down, down!!!

Let me know!'
