Guest guest
Hi Suzanne, Good news on the stools. The regression period for SCD varies. For many children it can be just a few days. For my son it was about a week. Some children, according to Judy Gorman, some children take up to six months. The Long Beach DAN! is on video now. You can go to http://www.danwebcast.com/ and register for free there. Judy Gorman, and Karyn Serrousi talk about the regressionduring the parent's panel Qand A on the Questions and Answers With Doctors and Parents video. Valtrex is mentioned as well including a back and forth between Jacquelyn McCandless and I about it. and another video about SCD is - Diet and Autism: The Gateway to Better Health. The video where I disucss Ethan's therapy is the only one not available yet. Anyway, I would stick with it a few days more and then if you NEED to do something, I would back the dose down (not stopping it) and see what happens. Try 125mg 3x per day, for example (I assume you are at 250 three times a day... right?). If you are at 250 twice per day, the regression may last longer then normal. - Stan > > Hi, > > Here we are at day 41 of Valtrex and still no relief from the > regression symptoms.
