Guest guest
My cat loves it. I had a small scoby out to cut into smaller pieces to make small starts for friends, and dropped one. My 8 month old cat pounced on it and took it away, and I see it now and then, when he feels like taking it out and " killing " it again. Don't know where he stores it, and it looks kinda tired by now, but Koko loves it and won't let me have it. Pat
Guest guest
When I think of it, sometimes I put a tablespoonful of K tea in my cat's canned food, mixed in well. He does smell it, but always eats it. He is frisky, his coat gleams in the sun, and he seems to be all that a healthy cat should, and he loves his little old piece of Scoby, that he treats as his mousie. Guest guest
I don't know where you live, but if YOU are cool and wear a sweater in your apartment, then maybe you should think of getting a heating pad for it. There are some on the Internet, I've seen them but can't remember where. I'll look again and if found, will let you know. Or maybe someone else has already gotten one. Where I live, the temps are warm in my house, and the Scobys grow like mad. I'm finally having to freeze some, and put some in the food processor to make skin creme, and double up some of them in the big brewing jars. Plus, I'm making smaller ones in quart jars for friends. Just cutting them in pieces and letting them grow there. They make the nicest little round Scobys, a little thicker in the middle where the original piece grew. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Has anyone ever tied giving the tea & the Scoby to a cat. My little girl has had cronic nose issues for a long time & nothing seems to help her out. Guest guest
Hi Skye, There have been posts to the list in the past about people giving KT to their cat. However when Mike Roussins research came out he found a precurson to Acetaminophen in the Kombucha samples he tested. Not Acetaminophen itself but a percursor to it. So from then on it has been recommended not to give KT to your cat. However I am also wondering about this again as we have a 10 week old kitten who joined our family about a month ago and I would like to give him KT in his food, just as I do my dogs, for the probiotic benefits and others. A precursor to Acetaminophen doesn't mean it necessarily makes Acetaminophen so I would very much like to hear from anyone who has used KT with their cats. I am tempted but reluctant....:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev KOMBUCHA MANNA DROPS - Safe, Convenient, Effective and Easy to use. Guest guest
LOL I'm hoping to try & get her to either drink the tea or eat the scooby snack. I'm hoping it will help her with her nose & arthritis. Thanks for the giggle I really needed that. Skye BSPMerced@... wrote: My cat loves it. Guest guest
I'll have to try it when my baby actually forms. I have been waiting since last thursday. I think it's trying, it seems to be little white dots so far. Maybe it is too cool in my apartment. Guest guest
Hi Skye, Harvest your Kombucha tea when the tea tastes good whether it has a thick Kombucha Condominium or not.... You can always get a thick SCOBY by setting aside some KT in a covered glass jar at room temperature and leaving it for a few weeks until a nice thick kombucha colony develops. Guest guest
Hi Pat, I enjoyed your story of the scoby versus cats, hehe. Wish my cat would get into doing that, caught him today playing with a plant leave in the house. Audrey <snippet> > > My cat loves it. Guest guest
Hi Bev, Thanks for reminding me of that info, I'd forgotten about it, but would like to see this thread continue so we could update the information for our cats sakes.
