Guest guest
Stan, When you say in your last sentence below "you'll know within 1 month if this might be a good therapy for your child", can you please expand upon this - what specific things should we be looking for within that time frame in order to determine the appropriateness of the continuation of Valtrex? Thanks for your input, Re: Any moms took Valtrex while pregnant? There are two schools of thought. 1. Many children do well even without a PCR or titer marker. IMO, it's a worthwhile trial either way.2. You could do PCR and Titer tests to learn more about what may or may not being going on with your child. In our case, my son did not test posative for any herpes strain virus via PCR or Titers and Valtrex was clearly one of the key therapies to bring him back.I am a strong advocate for a trial. You'll know within 1 month if this might be a good therapy for your child.- Stan> > >> > > Our twin boys (4 yo) on the autism spectrum differ in one > striking > > > way. had a huge developmental regression 14 months ago (he > > > was already PDD-NOS before that) and has bounced back only a > little > > > (MB12 for 6 months, chelation for 2 months). has > stayed > > > at PDD-NOS and responded well to digestive enzymes but > doesn't > > > seem to respond to much (began to jump after MB12, which his > brother > > > can't do yet but otherwise is a very mild responder to > supplements, > > > GFCF, and SCD).> > > > > > regressed after age 3, at least a year after his last > > > vaccination.
