Start with these, and do a search if you need more.... http://www.umass.edu/umext/csa/ http://www.csacenter.org/statesfr.htm Best, > Does anyone know where to find national listings of CSA's (community supported agriculture)? Guest guest
What is a decent price for CSA stuff. There is a family around that is offering 22 weeks, 20 plus pounds a week, for $440 dollars. And it isn't organic it just says they implement organic gardening methods. Any ideas anyone? Guest guest
You might want to check out a bit more closely how they are gardening. They may be using organic methods and doing a great job, but are not certified organic, which is a lot more work and expensive - for a small CSA it may not be worth it. Guest guest
I think the certification process in the end raises the price to the consumer. I think it would be far more efficient if consumers themselves certified (i.e satisfied) the methods used by a particular farmer. It could involve a number of methods. A simple one would simply be personal inspection on our own and/or a loose network of families who pass on the available info (or lack thereof) pertaining to any particular farm On Tue, 26 Feb 2002 16:10:04 -0500 " Kris.
