Guest guest
My duck and geese live with my chickens. Same pasture, same housing. The boy goose is a problem and we may be giving him away. Everybody else gets along famously. You can also have hens brood ducklings and ducks brood chicks. As to keeping ducks in the garden, they will eat your produce, but the tougher the veggies are the less the ducks will be interested. Eliot keeps his ducks right next to the garden and they eat all the slugs that slime their way in and out of the garden. Ducks love slugs. I'll never forget Miracle eating her first slug. The look on her face was like, " This is what I was born for! " You could try putting the ducks in for a bit with supervision and see what they're most interested in. Then you can shoo them out if they like your veggies better. Hope that helps.
