Being financially strapped and feeling guilty are a very daunting combination for these moms. It's really a matter of being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Unfortunately, until the system is "fixed", which won't be for a very looooooooooong time, all we can do is be as loving and respectful about it as possible. I feel that charging for no shows is just a form of rubbing salt in their wounds, per se. B.
