Guest guest
Hi Kimry Grace got back late last night. The only thing I can think of which may have caused the infection is, she's sleeping on her stomach all the time now. Maybe her diaper being wet in the front in the night is creating problems??? It's given her a diaper rash that won't go away. I use the same detergent/softener/soap that I've always used. Tide/Downy/J & J Baby Wash. The A & D ointment just isn't touching the rash, though. And usually that takes care of any problem right away. She's my mystery kid C. ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: Re: Guess where I spent my Easter.... Author: Plagiocephalyegroups Date: 4/24/00 12:07 PM Oh, , you poor thing! Thank goodness Gage was already with your Mom! You asked about kidney infections...Our now 8 year old had a bout with them about 18 months ago. UTIs, can be caused by changes in soaps, bubble baths, detergent, etc. Bubble baths were our culprits. Is she home yet from the hospital? Good luck, poor baby! Kimry ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Good friends, school spirit, hair-dos you'd like to forget. Guest guest
, Our pediatrician told us to try Flander's Buttocks Ointment. We got it at our local pharmacy. It's a little pricey, but it works great for us. It's worth a try!! Hope it helps!! ----Original Message Follows---- From: " Crain " <acrain@...> Reply-Plagiocephalyegroups " Plagiocephalyegroups " <Plagiocephalyegroups> Subject: Re[2]: Guess where I spent my Easter.... Guest guest
diaper rash?could it be caused by too many antibiotics, similar to a yeast infection or thrush?i know when my youngest son was on so many antibiotics, and i mean, many many antibiotics,he would develop diaper rash that was red raw.the pediatrician prescribed nystatin cream which worked well.no lotions, powders or baby baths for a while either.eventhough they seem gentle, they were too mauch for steven's bottom.just a thought?? Guest guest
At my pharmacy you have to ask for Triple Paste cream because they keep it behind the pharmacist's counter, but it is non-prescription. I think it is a combination of zinc oxide and petroleum jelly and something else. It is expensive ($6 for a small tub and $20+ for a large tub) but also worked wonders for us. I think it is effective because it effectively sticks like glue to tough rashes. Eileen

Guest guest
Nope, it's not a yeast infection. When the doctor was talking to me about it, he described it as an extension of the UTI. I should have taken notes. I thought I was understanding everything really well, but I think my brain had taken a walk or something. (hey, you go over 10 hours with only a Pepsi and a teething biscuit in your system! He told me specifically to go ahead with A & D ointment or something similar to keep her urine off her skin. Poor Steve, though! My son, Gage, had a NASTY yeast infection when he was a baby. I know how awful they can be. C./subscribe/Plagiocephaly ----- Original Message ----- From: DOLY1023@... Guest guest
I've never heard of Triple Paste. Did you have to ask the pharmacist for it? What's in the ingredient listing?
