Guest guest
So this may sound odd, but I have seen several sites about raw puppy food advocating ground egg shells for calcium. Does that apply to humans too? I tend to take a calcium supplement now, and I eat tons of dairy, but... Should I consider getting rid of the supplement? Should I save my egg shells? Guest guest
Ramit, I know of some that use crushed egg shells and crushed nettle. They take about 1/2 tsp per day. I use egg shells as a source of calcium for my kids. You can put the eggs or shells in lemon juice (fresh squeezed) and in 48 hours, the lemon juice draws the calcium out of the egg shells. I've tried both the shells and whole eggs and whole eggs seem to work better for me. Ann in Memphis
