Update - there are 97 folks registered for the LBD symposium. This is BEFORE

the local tri-county media blitz and ads planned to begin next week! I've

talked to a professional film and video service here in south Florida. I'm

getting a quote for taping the seminar, editing it and then getting it to DVDs.

They also have a web-encoding package for $250 for the first 10 minutes and $100

for each additional 10 minute block. I'm thinking of a 10 minute web blurb for

each speaker and the CG panel - we could also do one about starting a support

group that could be downloaded from the LBDA website, or a link in our files

here. Our LBDA board members will need to study the quote and determine if the

funds can be allocated. It does look to me that we would get a big bang for our

bucks, but that's just my humble opinion. (Total cost of filming, editing and

adding the web encoding package would be less than $3,000.) Photos can be

mailed to my 89 y/o mom who lives across the stre

e-mail photos to either Sharon or me, but our print quality may not be that good

with our laptops. Several of you have already asked about just printing them

off the photo files. Since most of those photos were switched to thumbnails to

save space, they may be grainy. But - it's going to be a collage, so the grainy

photos could form the background with real photos on top with scrapbook dots for

a 3-D effect. I did get clarification that absolutely NO solicitation is

allowed in the Coral Springs Medical Center - this would include Ageless by

Design, drug reps, etc., but we could put their catalogues and the Cargiver mags

mailed to me today in giveaway bags (along with the LBD brochure and other

handouts.) Two weeks to go - will keep y'all updated. Cyberhugs, Carol
