Guest guest
Thank you Limin...that was an eyeopener. A while back I found a website which showed who is contributing to each campaign and I was upset to see that ALL of the candidates were taking BIG money from BIG PHARMA. I've been on the fence about who to vote for, this helps me a bit. Thanks. You can find it at:http://election2008.aaas.org/comparisons/In short:* Barack Obamas program includes more than $1 billion in federalfunding for autism research, as well as increased funding for IDEA(the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). He also specifically mentions investing in biomedical research.* Hillary Clinton plans to double the funding for NIH over the next5 years, and double it over 10 years.* There is not much in McCains program, but he does support embryonic stem cell research (notable for a Republican).* Also not much in Huckabees program. He opposes stem cell research.Limin The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. AOL Music takes you there.
