Guest guest
Do you think it's on sale because it only reads analog signals, in 900mhz range? Did all the cell phone providers in the USA switch to digital earlier this year? I thought I read something about that, but I was out of the country and wasn't really paying attention at the time. Could be wrong. I assume the newer multi-use phones with internet browsers are accessing a digital network. A Verizon TV commercial sticks in my brain with a comment of " all digital network " . I really need to find a radio frequency expert to explain it all to me. My understanding of RF is limited at best and I sent Cross Currents back to the library a long time ago. I think I need to buy a copy to have as a reference. My husband is a licensed short wave operator, but only knows about those specific frequencies and channels. He has a general idea of how the cell phone frequencies differ, but not enough to help me figure out how to detect and block. All I know is cell phones have thousands more channels available on each network. Who knows what frequencies are being transmitted from every hill and dale around us. I think I might take time out from work next week to go hang out at the Ham Radio Outlet on Lawrence Expressway. Soak up some knowledge from the guys working there. I don't want to buy something with a limited range of frequencies. While I was typing this, I was multi-tasking and searching for detectors. I found this at " spy gadget solutions " . 50 mhz to 6 ghz. http://www.spygadgets.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=1 & Screen=PROD & Produc\ t_Code=MCBD Anyone tracking my shopping habits would think me a total nut. The EMF detector is also used in paranormal investigations. One of the guys at work said it was just like the ones the Ghost Hunters use. Who knew? I have more concrete things to worry about. So from ghosts to spy gadgets........ Whatever it takes to protect my son! > > Its CellSensor at blockemf.com > > its on sale now for 29.99 or something. > > Pramila
