Hello Ladies,I have a question about pediatric scales. I use tha Tanita BD-585 Baby Scale. Recently, it isn't weighing correctly and I was wondering if anyone had had any expereince with this model or in getting service from Tanita. Thanks, Kay, BS, IBCLCPrinceton Lactation Consultants, LLC12 Roszel Road, Suite A-103Princeton, NJ 08542office:

Dear ,

About a year ago, my Tanita BLB-12 starting not locking in weights. Fortunately, I have two that I own outright and one that I lease from Medela, so I had backup.

I called Tanita and they said it most likely would need a new part. It did: a new display board. It cost $280.59 to repair and it was out for abt three weeks taking a vactaion at the Tanita IL facility. I found them to be very nice to work with and my scale has been just fine ever since.

Ann Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

The scale I have is a one piece unit so I think I have to send it back

to Tanita for service. I loved the model for transport as it's one

piece but the downside of the design might be not being able to re-

calibrate it. I used a 10lb bag of flour and it weighs too light.

Thanks for the feedback!

K
