Guest guest
Hi, ! Hi, Angel! We're in Studio City (near Los Angeles) -- If either of you are ever in LA, I'd love to meet you and the kiddos. Happy to say that we finally saw the geneticist for the first time (Dr. Graham and Dr. Ora Gordon at Cedars Sinai in W. LA -- both very wonderful). I was surprised at how many different people we saw -- how much information was crammed into 3 1/2 hours (it felt like a much shorter time), and how pleased they seemed to be with Olivia. Physical/Speech/Occupational therapy was " prescribed " -- a visit to the ENT is scheduled for next Monday -- a case worker with Regional Center is pending (next week or two, so they say -- I'll call again on Monday to check on status -- yuppers, we as parents HAVE to be our kid(s)' advocate -- and an eccocardiogram needs to be scheduled with our pediatrician. And this is all just beginning... Little Miss O still isn't walking, but she's learned how to throw a really good (awful?) temper tantrum. To the point of getting so worked up she'll hit her head on the floor. Any ideas anyone? The doctors said it's because she's frustrated (doesn't quite know how to communicate what she wants/needs). But, unfortunately, they didn't offer what to do. She's also going through a biting/pinching stage. Again, her frustration (I'm really learning what patience is all about). If anyone has any ideas/thoughts/experiences...I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!! with love, Sophia & Olivia (17 mos)
