Guest guest
This is actually kind of interesting finding out what we all do! I have often wondered about posters and what they do...have wondered about their disabilities from statins and how it effects their employment. I know I sure work less than I used to...I am thankful my husband has a good job with benefits. I am also thankful that I can work when I feel well...I am a substitute teacher and a quilter/dollmaker folk artist.Jan Hi, Jan ! Thanks for the support , although it wasn't my plan to include what my family did, I was meeting Matt's challenge that I was a lawyer, LOL ! Actually he complimented me , I was in retail before I became too ill to work anymore ! Sounds like you have a very interesting career ,and I collect dolls ,and my youngest daughter was a substitute teacher , although now she's going to be a dental hygenist . Hugs, Les . Guest guest
Les I have a job so I don't have all day to sit and post sorry. Not a friend of mine. But this person is jerking your chain. I swear. I am sure you can tie you lack of a sense of humor to the lipitor, but I have no idea who this is. You prove my point with these posts about everyone being out to get folks and that there is a coordinated effort out here in the big world. NWO stuff I guess. We're all getting everyone mixed up here , I was not the person who posted about NWO , you have the wrong person ! Les .
Guest guest
I've spent 9 years in the mental health field. I am around doctors and nurses all day. So I have access to medical people all day long to ask questions. I have a friend from HS and college that is a Cardiologist. Went to s Hopkins so he is relatively bright. I hold a Masters degree so I am familiar with research. If you must know my masters is in Counseling. 3.5 of those 9 years were spent on an inpatient geriatric psych unit. So I am very familiar with Alzheimer's. Lots of patients not on statins with Alzheimer's. Matt, do you talk to your patients the way you talk to us ? My brother and youngest daughter both were counselors at one time ..and both are very compassionate and understanding people ....the type that need to be in this type of career ..... Guest guest
Why don't I belong here. I am trying to learn something and just because I do not walk in lock step with you folks I am the devil or something. Freedom of speech as long as it is yours right? You are mocking us and demeaning us ,that's why . Maybe you should turn off Rush Limbaugh and really listen to real people for a change .... I was adopted as I stated before so I do not carry the genetics. But he is a little internet shy so I do a lot of the research. Plus I have access to a cardiologist that most don't. Thus I have people explain pathways and such. I also live in Mississippi. The most litigious state in the country. Docs leave here because they get sued by lawyers and pts that have had no damage but the lawyer told them they could get money. Please don't tell me this doesn't happen because it does. I am NOT anti law suit for med errors. But when lawyers recruit people into suits just for the cash, then that IS wrong. I am also very conscious about litigation in this state and I hear stories from my doctor friend. This lists gives the impression that all statins are bad and that no one has been helped by statin use and they only hurt people. My father has not had a heart attack since being on a statin and his mental health is great. So I try to see both sides of it. When I hear things like New World Order and such I have to laugh at the stupidity of it. There is a little background for you. I think we're all mad at him, he doesn't belong here! I had never planned on mentioning who my family is, but when I asked him if he works for or owns a drug company, his retort was to ask me if I was a trial lawyer, so I wanted to make the point that this was in no way the reason that I was upset with what he was saying! Whew, I'm sure glad we cleared that up, I wouldn't want anyone to think I was him, LOL! Just to update you on who I am, I am Les, and I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy after taking first Crestor, and then Provachal. The neuropathy first appeared after taking Crestor, I went off the drug, the neuropathy went away, the DR put me on Provachal, the neuropathy returned with avengeance, and I'm in pain 24/7 . Les. Guest guest
Matt One person threw out NWO, probably tongue in cheek and now you assume everyone here thinks the same way. There is no doubt that some people have been helped by statins but at the same time a large number have been seriously harmed. Ask your cardiologist to give you a study about the benefits of cholesterol in the body, what is its use, why do our bodies manufacture the stuff. The drug industry is focused on one thing only, cholesterol clogging arteries. Cardiologists would probably like it if we had no cholesterol in our blood streams mind you we would be dead from something else. What role does cholesterol play in the immune system? The immune system of the body has to be one of the most unknown areas of medical science. The Pharmas would like 100% of us to take their statin products and when a bunch of us go down they can give us another drug like Neurontin for Peripheral Neuropathy. The most unethical industry in the world, big Pharmas. I have a friend whose husband died of cancer, she would sit around the hospital in those final days and observed the Pharma sales reps coming in and wining and dining the cancer specialists, to persuade them to use their latest products. Ugh. --- Matt wrote: > I've spent 9 years in the mental health field. I am > around doctors and nurses all day. So I have access > to medical people all day long to ask questions. Guest guest
Why are you so afraid of debate. If you are right then there is no reason to act childish, you should all be able to talk me down with facts, study names and statistics. But instead you act like my five year old on the playground. But I am the new kid that walked on to your playground. I hope all of you don't treat people like this in real life. Even though I know you do, I can hope against hope I am wrong on this. But I doubt it. You talk about compassion and publicly ridicule someone because they disagree with you. Nice.... This is NOT a debate board, go away and find another board, we're all here to help and sympathize with each other, not debate ! Go back to Rush Limbaugh and leave us alone ! Guest guest
This is silly. Then why didn't you say it, Les. You are like children beating up on one person. How very pathetic of all of you. Ooooh look how funny we are making fun of this guy like he can't read any of this. If any of your children treated someone like this you would be horrified. Well I would. You want to talk to someone act like adults. Why are you so afraid of debate. If you are right then there is no reason to act childish, you should all be able to talk me down with facts, study names and statistics. But instead you act like my five year old on the playground.
