Guest guest
Hi, We finally got in to see the doctor this morning. He sent us for a chest x-ray, looking for pneumonia. She sounded pretty course on the left side and some on the right as well. The x-ray tech. noted that Autumn was one of the most well-behaved 2-year-olds he has ever worked with. I tried to explain that she's been through so much, but still I don't think he understood. Why is it that even medical professionals don't understand the physical and emotional toll these illnesses have on young children? Back to the doctor's office where he says it's only asthma and sinus infection. He's giving her one last chance with Zithromax (after he said earlier this year only rocephin). She has to improve by Wednesday or she goes on 3-5 days of antibiotic shots. This does not leave me optimistic for the weekend. My husband has his annual family reunion planned and I was leaving my children with an aunt while I went to my cousin's wedding north of Fort Worth. So, the plans for this weekend are questionable. This weekend was to be the first weekend I went somewhere spouse/child free in a long time. So, I pray that the Zithromax works and we don't have to worry about shots. Speaking of emotional tolls . . . Mommy and Daddy are really tired as well. It's so tough to deal with this constant drain on your psyche without feeling overwhelmed and completely helpless. Gotta close out for now. Thanks for letting me preach to the choir. Ray, mother to Tabitha (almost 5) and Autumn age 2 (IgG def., asthma, chronic sinusitis and allergies--unknown)
Guest guest
Did I mention that we're in the middle of toilet training also? What an experience! The first child was so easy . . . but she didn't have all the " extra " to deal with also. Ray
