Update on my dad from rachael

I am not sure if posted an update of my dad. I know that you all knew i

had to go down there for 3 days to make sure he was ok and had food in his

house and went to dr. I talked with him yesterday afternoon and he went

to the dr that the walk in clinic referred him to. They called him and told

him they had an appt seup already which wsa nice. The walk in clinic by him

is really good and they really take care of you there.

He went to the dr and they did a full work up of him and told him it is

bronchitis like the walk in said and to continue the 5 medications until

theyre done. He has 2 inhalers he has to take every day, one for when he

gets coughing and antibiotic and prednisone.

He has to go back in a few weeks once his lungs have cleared up for more

tests. I know i mentioned that he is a smoker and i really got him to cut

down. Im trying myself and its so hard. Ive been doing it since i was 14

and he was young also when he started...hes now 53. The dr who is now his

gp dr said he has to at least cut down from his TWO packs a day which he

wants to. Dr said if he couldnt do it on his own he would give him some

medicine. Im glad my dad has decided to get down and quit. He hates

the habit like i do and i wish the cigg companies who get so much money from

us smokers would offer free aides to quit. God its the least they can do.

Most people start smoking when they dont even realize what it actually does

or thinks its no big deal.

My dr is also wanting me to quit and so far i have dropped down but want to

get lower. He is funny cause he said there is so many aides out there to

help but who can afford it. Oh well sorry for venting here lol.

I just wanted to offer an update. I thank you for all of your prayers and

thoughts. I amgoing to hop in shower in a bit so i can get out and get

these air cleaners. what a god send=) I have to get new filters for them

and can do that when my check comes but at least i will have them.
