Isokinator & Training

I bought my Isokinator Pro on the following site:

http://newbody.de

It is in German, but I somehow managed to understand it with google translation

(had a lot of fun with the translation).

The Isokinator Pro arrived quickly, but they do not answer questions sent on

info@..., even when you make the effort to write in German, and even if

you have made a purchase. Just for this reason I would not recommend this site,

but I do not know any other way to buy an Isokinator Pro.

As far as routines are concerned, the following page (in French, but google

translation may help) is quite interesting:

http://prevost.pascal.free.fr/pratique/force/force51.htm

It presents scientific studies as far as efficiency of practice is concerned. It

is not in line with the current belief " no pain no gain " , and advise to do only

few series per exercice, and to train only 3 days per week. By doing more, they

say that you do do gain more, and you may even lose some benefits. This is

consistent with what is currently advised by Koelbel:

- For Muscle-Gun (which I do not know), he says to choose 7 exercises among 20

(to work on the 7 muscle groups), and to practise one or two series of 10 for

each exercise, with one day training, one day rest (the muscles build when you

rest);

- For Isokinator Pro, only 7 exercises (for men, 6 for women)are proposed on the

wallchart, and the advice is two series of 15 for fitness, or three series of 6

to 10 for athletic training. Also you are invited to practise one day, and to

rest one day.

Then, when you are happy with what you achieve, Koelbel says that training one

day out of 10 is enough. I find this quite surprising, but it seems there is

scientific background also to this.

To lose weight, and also to provide proteins to muscles, it is also advised to

take protein supplements.

Of course, if you do not practise at all, or less than advised above, no result

will be obtained!
