All of my hematuria is microscopic at this point. The level of microsity

(nice word huh) is rising which suggest to me that sometime it will not be so

microscopic. There are days when my urine is more discolored toward the

orange/red. I often feel as though I have a bladder infection but nothing

ever cultures. And, my hematuria is always there. Every urinalysis since last

year - maybe before but no-one ever thought anything of it.

What do I think. I am certainly at a loss about much of it. With a positive

cytology and positive cytologies from washes of both kidneys on the get go it

seems there is little to wonder. Yet, I do. I wonder if my complement

deficiency is there because of glomulernephritis or IgA nephropothy (C3 & C4

deficiency suggests both of these). I was scheduled for a kidney biopsy but

choose not to have it at that time. I am beginning to reconsider thinking

that perhahps that would put some of my wondering to rest.

As far as yours in concerned I don't really know. The only similarity is the

bladder infection type symptoms. I have regular IVP's, and x-rays done. Have

had plenty of CAT scans, and as far as I can tell I will continue to have

these tests until something shows up. Good luck to you. I am not sure if I

answered any of your questions but I hope. And if you have more please ask.

If you would prefer to email me privately I am at hbdoem@...
