Guest guest
re ginger marmalade <That sounds extraordinary!> inspirational, in fact! in my desperate search to turn up a recipe so as not to disappoint you, shari and paul, i came across " ginger marmalade " as a school band score. as for the edible kind, a roommate brought a jar back from the british isles some 17yrs ago, and i haven't forgotten it. it struck me more like a ginger preserves. most of the recipes i've seen for ginger marmalade emphasize a citrus fruit, but if you scroll down on this site, you'll find a (non-NT, would need to be altered) recipe for ginger preserves (and kiwi chutney...and pumpkin jam and pumpkin butter...and banana ketchup! and muscadine jam, bestill my southern heart!): http://www.recipecottage.com/preserving/ if anyone comes up with something, let me know, please-- allene, ginger freak
Guest guest
>http://www.recipecottage.com/preserving/ Thanks! I'll try to adapt that into an NT-friendly recipe, and maybe I'll try making a straight ginger preserve too. That might be *very* interesting. -
