Hi All,I have been enjoying and learning from everyone's comments.I would like a little feedback - I am having one of those LC vs LLLL conversations in my head.I just saw a mom - 9 day old baby - took in 1.7 oz during a period of 45-50 minute period - combination of both breasts in a couple of different positions. Mom had been limiting feedings to about 10 minutes per side for a couple of days per midwife not wanting her to overuse and damage nipples. At worst nipples were tender for a day or so. Now feedings are comfortable. Baby didn't poo for a couple of days - in the last 24 hours has had 3 yellow poos. Baby is up 4 oz from 5 days ago.I think things were a bit slow to begin and are now catching up.I have seen some sluggish babies lately and don't want to stress this mom unnecessarily. I really think they are doing well. She is a real type A - in the good way - she likes to take clear notes and log everything. I left her with suggestion that she continue to keep good records and watch for the pees and poos and happy baby. From using a scale so much with struggling babies I was hoping to see more milk. However, I saw a lovely content (not sluggish, not dehydrated baby.)Do you hear the conversation going on in my head 'they are fine" they should pump to make sure baby gets enough" etc, etc,Any thoughts?
