Guest guest
Hi all, newbie here! Just want to say thanks to all of you who emailed. I feel like family already. Some of you asked me if my FIL was on any drugs for LBD. The answer is no. His current meds include clonazepam and propranolol for his tremors and it also helps with anxiety, however, he shakes so bad he can barely eat. He takes enalapril for his BP, and he also takes some stuff for his diabetes, rosecea, and scaley skin, vitamins, and fossamax for loss of bone density. The impression my MIL got from the neurologist was that any meds he'd take for the LBD wouldn't react well with what he is currently takin. My FIL is @ urgent care right now. My MIL called and said he was complaining that he couldn't feel his legs. After my husband got there, my FIL hurled up lots of black tar-like yuck all over everywhere. Freaked him out too! I think his (FIL) plumbing might be backed up. He had been complaining all weekend that his back hurt and he didn't feel good. I'm not sure how to approach this neurologist thing. My MIL feels that this guy is compitent and she gets the impression that he has treated others with LBD, but she doesn't know for sure. I have to tread lightly in some areas, after all I'm just the daughter- in-law. I try to get my husband to ask questions or get the phone # and get some info on these Dr.s but he's busy with work. My MIL knows that I want to help but I think I overwhelm her at times. My view is that this needs to be done, it's important to know the facts. And I'd gladly do the leg work, but she drags her feet. So I don't know what to do. Sorry I think I may have typed to much info for you. Sorry. This group is all I have for support so I hope y'all don't mind.
