Guest guest
Ursula, I'm a bit puzzled by what you wrote: " Hope is feeling better being back at home and I'm glad the biopsies are good. Also glad to hear the fundo isn't in his near future. " 's biopsies from his colonoscopy showed that the Crohn's Disease is worsening in , involving more area of his colon. This has caused serious malabsorption and weight loss problems for . Unless he begins to gain weight soon, he will be placed on TPN for 3 months. We are also looking at higher doses of steroids on an already faltering immune system. His biopsies from the endoscopy show slightly more esophagitis than last year, but not signficantly so that we need to consider the fundoplication at this point. His liver biopsy, fortunately, is unchanged from last year, so we are hopeful that he would be able to handle a short time on TPN. Perhaps you misunderstood my previous letter. I try not to be an alarmist or or dwell on " worst case " , but the truth is that is seriously ill. And I'm frightened. Debbie
