Guest guest
Leigh Anne, please let us know when you find out which day you will appear on The Doctors. Dr. Sears has been very positive about breastfeeding on that program. Glad to know they are having you appear! For LLL - I am an AAPL - that's an Area Associate Professional Liaison and I lead a wonder Toddler Meeting. I also co-lead a Series Meeting with three wonderful women - but I mostly focus on the Toddler meeting and my private practice. I have had non-LLL support groups - I am currently not as I have three children in three different schools and I work while they are in school. Support groups are great - but in my experience not a place to make money. It is a way to offer follow up for clients, to help moms who cannot afford a consultation and to learn. I also volunteer to speak to the media about breastfeeding related stories - I enjoy that. Jaye, you will learn that you cannot have as much control about time - learning to have a few "sound bites" is god for the media - and things often get edited - good or bad. The more well spoken people to comment positively and intelligently - the better! I am still waiting for the episode of The Doctors I appeared on to air.
