Guest guest
, we have information about it on our website (although there is more in the book): http://www.lowmilksupply.org/shatavari.shtml You can also email privately for additional information (she knows more about it than I do): lisa.marasco@.... It's so good that you want to get at root causes. That's definitely the most effective way to address low milk supply issues. Our book should be very helpful because that's exactly the issue we addressed. You can also always feel free to email either of us privately with specific questions. I've asked for " Making More Milk " for Christmas, and can hardly wait to read it. We seem to have so many mothers who struggle with their milk supply, I understand that there is a huge number of reasons for low supply - especially in an NICU, and I want to be able to focus on the root cause to better educate and assist those mothers. So many times I feel that I am encouraging motherlove herbs or reglan, and if they don't see results quickly and I have no other bright ideas they will quit. Guest guest
The traditional way to take shatavari is as a powder in warm milk. In Ayerveda, cow milk is used within minutes of milking the cow--certainly not as a pasteurized, homogenized, chemical-laden product. So, I tell my clients to take it in warm almond or hemp milk (even rice milk) twice a day unless they are only comfortable using capsules. Most of my clients take their other herbs as an infusion, which is always preferable to capsules.
