DMSA is the generic name and is very inexpensive. Your doctor or

pharmacist can order it for you from:

Our doctor ordered it from them for us and it was shipped to his

office and we picked it up there.

The brand name for DMSA is Chemet. Chemet is only available as 100

mg capsules. It is very expensive and you should be able to get it

from any pharmacy if the doctor writes the prescription for 100 mg

Chemet. We got it from Walgreens because my insurance had Chemet on

their drug list, but not DMSA.

If your city has a compounding pharmacy you should be able to get

either DMSA or Chemet from them. Any compounding pharmacy can make

it, in either 100 mg or 250 mg. capsules, and have it ready for you

in one day. We got one prescription filled from a compounding

pharmacy, and it was inexpensive to buy there.

The best way to take it is one 100 mg. cap every 4 hours, even during

the night, for 3 to 4 days, then skip 3 to 4 days. This is all

explained as to why and what supplements to take with it in

Cutler's book, " Amalgam Illness, Diagnosis, and Treatment. " It has

to do with mobilizing the mercury and keeping it in suspension until

peed out, so it doesn't get moved around and redeposited in some

other location. Remember to drink a full glass or water before and

after each capsule, and several glasses in between to flush out the

mercury. You don't want it to get dropped off anywhere before it

gets peed out. You have to keep reminding yourself to drink lots of

water. If you are taking chelation and your pee isn't clear like

water, then you aren't drinking enough water.

In Andy's book, he recommends taking the DMSA for a while to draw out

the body burden of mercury, then start taking the DMSA with Alpha

Lipoic Acid to pull it out of the brain. He says that DMSA taken

alone will not get the mercury out of the brain. I highly recommend

that book.
