separating cream from milk

I put whole milk in a tall skinny bottle while back and it had to lay

on it's side to go into refrig. You guessed it! The cream rose,

stuck to the top of the bottle and the milk poured off w/o lots of

cream. Disadvantage: bottle hard to wash and cream hard to remove for

use. Dennis
