Guest guest Posted February 28, 2006 Report Share Posted February 28, 2006 Debbie, I hate those words, " let's put them in the hospital and regulate their drugs. " That is what happen to my Mom too. ( She died in '02.) She could almost walk in and I had to literally carry her out. Those are dangerous words. I ended up fighting with the nh I had to put her in as she was in a wheel chair and I didn't have enough room at home for the wheel chair, and they didn't want to change any meds. I finally got her taken off all the ones she was on, the nh was unhappy, and put back on the ones I had her on before she went into the hospital. And the famous words I heard from the MD was " you treat all dementia the same. " I had already been here and I knew you didn't. I cried all the way to the nh with her.
