Guest guest
maureen, i am so sorry about our mil's fall. i know it is awful that is what happened to daddy. dad had it very difficult after surgery, he couldnt comprehend not to bend his knee and [popped his hip out of joint again. your prayer request has been done, please stay on top of the meds especially the bloodthiners post surgery. they are scary as they thin the blood post surgery to avoid clots, take care and good luck hugs sharon m -- Bobbie fractured her hip Hi Everyone, We have had an abrupt change. My MIL Bobbie had a bad fall last night and was rushed to the emergency room. The determined that she has a fractured hip and needs to undergo surgery. She has been in the emergency room since 7:30 last night and we were told this morning the expected her surgery to be in approximately one hour. Now it is 3:30 pm and she is still waiting. I explained all about the problems with pain meds. But the doctors needed to give her something because she was suffering greatly. The plan to do the surgery by epedural rather than putting her fully out. Since you have such a great prayer chain we would appreciate it if you would add her to your list. We were all set to travel to D.C. for the conference but it was not meant to be. I had to cancel all our plans this morning. Sorry we won't be able to join you. I hope she pulls throught this surgery. I am worried that the Lewy Body Dementia will harm her chance for recovery. We will have to leave it in God's hands. We hate to lose the person we love but we hate to see the horrible way this dementia hinders their quality of life. I will let you know when she is out of surgery. Maureen Welcome to LBDcaregivers. Guest guest
Maureen - I'm sorry to hear about Bobbie. Please know that she'll be in my prayers. I can fully understand your anxiety as you worry about her surgery and of her recovery. You, too, are also in my thoughts...
