Guest guest
Hi Carol, Below is the list of Dr Graveline's recommendations for Statin Alternatives (to reduce/prevent inflammation): 1) buffered aspirin - 81 mg 2) CoQ10 - 100 to 150 mg 3) folic acid - 400-800 mcg B6 - 80-100mg B12 - 200-250mcg 4) Omega 3 (fish oil or cod liver oil) [ There is no upper limit.] These four items/categories have the same anti-inflammatory affect as 20 mg's of Lipitor, without side effects. Keep in mind these supplements are not designed to lower cholesterol (because cholesterol is NOT the problem). Together they are a potent anti-oxidant, they reduce platelet stickiness and control (toxic) homocysteine levels. Guest guest
Hi Carol, My cholesterol is the same and always has been. Who's to say that isn't normal for me. They are trying to make me take vytorin but so far I am refusing. Oh they make me so mad brenda Need list of vitamins from Dr Graveline Sorry all....my memory totally shot and i can't find where on my computer I put the list of supplements that Dr Graveline recommends taking instead of statins. As one who once took lipitor or zocor I need to get on some good supplements as Dr is insisting I continue taking zetia. I need to get off of this now and have to find something that will work..........either that or find another doctor. At one time i thought my body was mine but seems my doctor has taken over and is insisting I take a cholestrol lowering drug. In the past I have on my own stopped lipitor and zocor but how he is getting really persistant I stay on something (cholestrol is 220)Anyway appreciate any help with the vitamins to take that Graveline recommends.......one day I may actually find where I stored them on my computer......ThanksCarol/Atlanta
