Guest guest
Hi Folks - Sorry for my absence but I have had some problems. This is from a newsletter that I receive, and since exercise is important to diabetics, I thought that I would share it with the group. It has some good thoughts in my humble opinion. Hugs and Love to All! Bob PS. Weight is at 348 pounds. One pound at a time and eventually we will all be slim and svelte. The Right Size February 26, 2001 From the One Minute Fitness Coach - <http://www.ExerciseResults.com> " Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. " Kozol Fitness does not have to be a battle, but it is for a lot of people. You battle time, excuses, laziness, busy schedules, work demands, family demands, stress and the couch. If fitness and exercise is a battle for you, pick your battle. Don't pick one too big to win, too overwhelming to manage. Don't set yourself up for failure by deciding you are now going to exercise for the rest of your life. Don't declare that you are going to exercise for an hour 5 days a week, when you don't have an hour 5 days a week. That is a surefire prescription for defeat. Pick a battle small enough to win. Pick a battle the right size for you. One size does not fit all. We are much too diverse for one size to work. Maybe the right size battle is to exercise 10 minute a day 6 days a week, because that is doable with your schedule. Maybe the right size battle is to walk for 20 minutes 3 days a week, because you can manage that much commitment. Maybe the right size battle is to exercise 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening, because you can. Maybe the right size battle is to get up 10 minutes earlier in the morning and win the battle over procrastination. Maybe the right size battle is to banish boredom by spicing up your fitness with something exiting, appealing and different for you. What is the right size battle for you? After you win a few battles, then you will be ready for bigger ones. Make the battle the right size for you with help from Exercise Made Easy. http://www.exerciseresults.com/EME%20Product.htm ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Copyright 2000 Lynn Kennedy, RN, Licensed MFT.
