Guest guest
Hi Charlene, I have a juiceman junior and it is pretty simple to use, I know Patty has a different one so maybe ask her opinion but I really like mine, it works good and is not too messy to clean up. How are things going for you, I wrote but never heard back from you, hope all is well and that your surgery will be a success. I remember this time last year and just wanting it all over with. Guest guest
Dear , Well I took a trip out to Atlanta to see Dr. Kolb. She helped put me on a detox program. Unfortunately, the wait is killing me. I'm a little nervous about what my breasts will look like after being use to my implants for four years. Especially, since everyone has been telling me that they will be flat. My husband doesn't seem to care, he cares more for my health, but I'm also nervous about what he'll think. Anyhow my health is more important to me than the breasts. I'm also worried about how long the surgery is gonna keep me " down and out " . When I had my implants in, alot of people said it was a simple procedure and they were able to go back to work within a week or so. I was in terrible pain for 3 weeks. I wonder if woman who have problems now had longer recover times when implanted (maybe there is a correlation or maybe not). Well I guess I'll deal with that when it comes. A nyway, I'm just glad to have these awful things out. After reading everything in this suppport group, I think that even if I didn't have problems, I would have my implants explanted. I'll keep everyone posted on my operation and hopefully recovery of symptoms. Hey have you heard of woman experiencing alot of dandruff and sensitive or scabbing in the scalp? ----- Original Message ----- From: <cjheer@...> < > Sent: Sunday, November 25, 2001 11:35 AM Subject: Re: juicers > Hi Charlene, > > I have a juiceman junior and it is pretty simple to use, I know Patty > has a different one so maybe ask her opinion but I really like mine, > it works good and is not too messy to clean up. > > How are things going for you, I wrote but never heard back from you, > hope all is well and that your surgery will be a success. Guest guest
Hi, I have owned and used several different kinds of juicers, and I have one now that I think is one of the best out there. It is a Green Life Juicer, and uses twin gears to crush the vegetables to obtain the juice. This has several advantages, namely, by not using centrifugal force, it keeps oxidation of the juice to a minimum, and by not using mastication, there is no heating of the juice as it is obtained. Here is a site that lists several kinds of juicers so you can compare: http://www.discountjuicers.com/bestjuicer.html# http://www.discountjuicers.com/juicers.html The only disadvantage most people complain about with juicing is the clean up. I owned a Juiceman II that was moderately easy to clean. The GreenLife is a little more work to clean, but I think I get the best quality juice with it. Guest guest
Charlene, I have scabbing of the scalp. It's not terrible, and thank god my hair's long enough to cover it up, but I do notice scabs on the scalp, usually on the lateral portion of my head, and occasionally around the nape of my neck. Do keep us posted on your surgery. And not everyone ends up with flat breasts. I am a perfect example. My breasts post explant were round, full, and didn't sag. AND, I didn't have a mastopexy! I just wish I was flatter!! But not everyone will end up flat and unshapely. So keep that in mind. Good luck!! e
Guest guest
have you heard of woman experiencing alot of dandruff and > sensitive or scabbing in the scalp? > Charlene, Alot of women have hair loss. I have not heard so much about dandruff. I do know about the scabbing in the scalp--I used to get it. The book I just read on Evening Primrose Oil points to a problem with metabolising the essential fatty acids along the step-by-step process, due to an enzyme being blocked, as well as other blocks in the pathway, like too many trans fats, certain vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and others. Evening primrose oil skips this step and easily converts to the much needed anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. Try to increase your amounts of essential fatty acids, and give it a two month trial to see if this helps. Add Evening Primrose Oil, Borage Oil, Black Current Oil, or Flaxseed oil, plus fish oils. I'll bet you will see some resolution of these problems. I have noticed much improvement since adding oils to my daily life. However, I did find that flaxseed oil did NOT help. I had to go with the borage oil and fish oil, and have lately added the evening primrose oil as well. Patty
Guest guest
Hi Charlene, I had a pretty quick recovery both with my implantation and with explant. I don't think you will have much to worry about, when it comes to recovery. I am sure you will be pretty much like the rest of us, and be up and about in a matter of a week or so. I hope you will notice immediate improvements after explant in some of your symptoms! Some women are lucky in that regard, while others take a little time. Just let it take its course, and be prepared to work a little on detoxing and healing, and for the most part, try to take joy in life as much as you are able each day. It is all a journey, so try to enjoy things along the way. So glad to hear that you got out to see Dr. Kolb and get on a good detox program now. Let us know when you surgery is, and how things go! We'll be praying for you and thinking about you. Guest guest
Thanks Patty the link was really useful. I'm off to buy a juicer or look for one anyway. > Hi, > I have owned and used several different kinds of juicers, and I have one now > that I think is one of the best out there. Guest guest
www.mercola.com had a good discussion of juicers. I can't remember which model he highly recommended (it wasn't Omega or Acme), but do a search of keyword juicers on his site, and it should show up. Guest guest
Sam's has one brand Hamilton Beach for $99 that is good. . -----Original Message-----From: Heer [mailto:idagirl@...]Sent: Monday, June 03, 2002 9:44 PM Subject: Juicers To Dr Kolb or anyone else that might know, I am looking to get a new juicer that would be easier to clean and also be good for juicing veggies as opposed to mostly fruit. In the past I did mostly fruit and carrots and now i am trying to do more greens, but finding that my juice man junior is not optimal for my goals. If anyone has any ideas and suggestions on this I would appreciate the feedback. I am really not wanting to spend big big bucks either. Because it takes a special enzyme to inhibit the cyanide which cancer cells don't have. There for the cyanide kills the cancer cells. This enzyme is known as rodhenase. So eat those seeds as they will prevent you from getting cancer. I eat the apple seeds, apricot seeds, peach seeds, plum seeds and actually enjoy them. Even almonds contain cyanide. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
